Major Harry George McQuinn
Major McQuinn served with the TJFF, becoming the Officer Commanding Guards Squadron (the Mobile Guards Squadron), based at Sarafand, Palestine. Before the war he was attached to the British Military Mission working with the Egyptian Army. On the outbreak of war he became a bomb disposal instructor with the Royal Engineers Bomb Disposal (REBD). He was subsequently commissioned into the King's Dragoon Guards and later seconded to the TJFF on account of his fluency in Arabic.
